Family fun and Branson, Missouri go hand-in-hand. Each year there are new things for families who explore Branson together to enjoy… and 2019 is no different! From longtime favorites featuring new additions to all-new entertainment offerings, get ready for a great visit to Branson.

Get Active

Helping the kids burn off a little energy is a vacation win! And Branson has some great places to get active. Spend the day playing at Bigfoot Fun Park. You can’t miss their star attraction, the Bigfoot Action Tower. At 200 feet, the top of the tower is the highest point in the city. The tower features the Gravity Bomb—a true free-fall ride that drops you from the top of the tower and stops smoothly using a magnetic braking system. Afterwards, visit the Yeti Play Zone & Monkey Jump to play on rope swings, slides, and on an obstacle course within the Yeti treehouse. Before exiting, visitors can choose to leave in a conventional method or they can brave the 10-foot monkey jump from the tower. After you’ve defied gravity, check out the mini-golf course, arcade and the incredible Bigfoot’s 8Di Action Cinema. Pick one of the three movies to immerse yourself in, jump on your (stationary) mini-bike that moves side to side, don your 3-D glasses and point your laser gun at the enemy in the movie. Maybe you can help Bigfoot escape from a secret laboratory where he is held hostage.

If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ve got to head over to Branson Frontier Adventures. Here you’ll find fast track and drift track go-karts for the ultimate in racing fun, and for the little ones there’s a special Lil’ Bandits track just for them. After some go-karting fun, get ready for an extreme adrenaline rush, the Ejection Seat! Go from zero to flying towards the sky in seconds.

Another super-fun location with several activities is Fritz’s Adventure. This is a huge complex filled with rock walls, ropes courses, slides, tunnels and other challenges for adventurers of all ages. Bring the entire family to test your limits together on: bridges suspended several stories above giant boulders, brick buildings for scaling, a life-size water tower, and an air-worthy airplane to explore.

The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead is a historical spot for the whole family to discover together. Here you’ll find an outdoor adventure park and an all-new area for little kids. Lil’ Pete’s Playland is sure to cultivate young ones’ imaginations and get them good and tuckered out. This kid-centered zone features a timed American Ninja Warrior course, rope bridge-linked treehouses, a custom putt-putt course, petting zoo, gem sifting and more!

Learn Something New

Learning becomes hands-on when you visit some of Branson’s cool museums. The Titanic Museum Attraction offers many hands-on activities and displays just for kids. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not® Odditorium is jaw-dropping amazement from wall to wall. Your kids will love the interactive exhibits and learning outrageous facts as you wind your way through the museum. Did you know the World’s Largest Toy Museum is in Branson? It’s true! Parents love sharing their memories of playing with their favorite childhood toys, plus learning their history and interesting facts. Just down the street from the World’s Largest Toy Museum is the Dinosaur Museum, which is filled with life-size dinosaur replicas that you can explore during your self-guided tour.

Get Your Game On

The newest spot in Branson to get your game on is the Pizza Ranch, home to a huge pizza and fried chicken buffet that will get the whole family fed. Once everyone’s full, take the few steps into their Fun Zone Arcade, a state-of-the-art gaming center.

The Branson Family Fun Center is located adjacent to the world’s largest Cicis pizza restaurant. Here you can grab a bite to eat and have a blast playing every type of arcade game imaginable. Down at the Branson Landing stop in Arcade City. This huge arcade not only has great games but is comfortable for the whole family.
Grand Country’s Fun Spot says it all in its name. Stop for a bite to eat at Papa Grand’s Pizza Buffet, and then venture into the Fun Spot for some seriously good times. First, you’ll notice lots of arcade games, but that’s only the beginning. Bumper cars, bowling, laser tag, a laser maze, and a foam ball area for the littlest visitors are all right here. You’ll even find a fun barnyard-themed mini-golf course just outside the arcade. The newest addition to the Grand Country Fun Spot is the giant indoor go-kart track, so no matter what Mother Nature is dishing out, you can have a blast indoors.

Puttering Around

Enjoy a spirited game of mini golf and earn your family vacation bragging rights at one of Branson’s many mini-golf courses. You’ll find both indoor and outdoor courses, all with their brand of fun. As you drive down Hwy. 76, you’ll see several options including Shoot for the Stars, a Hollywood-themed course located at the Hollywood Entertainment Center. After you’ve completed your golf game, head inside to the Hollywood Wax Museum, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, or Castle of Chaos, a 5-D ride. Wildwood Mini Golf is an exciting indoor course themed around the Wild West. If you’ve explored the “main drag” of Branson, you’ve probably seen a yellow airplane that looks like it has landed on the side of a hill. This is the Lost Treasure Golf course. Here, golfers ride mining cars to help Professor Hacker search for ancient gold and diamond mines as they wind through the 18-hole course. Just off Hwy. 76 is Dinosaur Canyon Golf. This course features huge dinosaurs and a volcano spewing lava as you play through 18 holes. At Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, putt around swashbuckling pirates and intricate buildings on a captivating course. The stunning waterfalls and beautiful exotic plants transport you to a tropical island while you’re playing this gorgeous course. Some other equally fun mini-golf courses you might want to check out while visiting Branson include Brookside and Greatest Adventures.

Silver Dollar City

2019 at Silver Dollar City is The Year of Shows & Festivals, featuring larger-than-life shows and all-new festival fun to please every member of your family as you experience something new every season. Plus, explore over 40 rides and attractions, including the most talked about roller coaster in recent years, the Time Traveler. In addition to new limited engagement shows throughout each festival, see the premiere of Reuben’s Swashbuckling Adventure, an original stage show from Silver Dollar City’s award-winning producers. This summer show will take your family on a magical journey of discovery and dreams. From Apr.-Oct., catch the funny Silver Dollar Saloon performers in an all-new show. As temperatures cool with the ushering in of fall, you won’t want to miss the all-new Craft Days & Pumpkin Nights during the fall Harvest Festival with extended park hours. Discover the new Pumpkin Pathway that leads to an area that has been transformed and expanded for a Pumpkin Party! Enjoy fun fall activities like face painting, black light photo spots, pumpkin-flavored goodies and more!

Water & Outdoor Activities

Exploring the Ozarks outdoors is a great way to make new family memories. Much of the Branson area is surrounded by crisp, clear lakes. Table Rock Lake is perfect for enjoying all types of water sports. Boating, fishing, swimming, skiing and tubing are all fun ways for your family to spend a day on the water. There are public beaches at parks operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The most popular public beach in Branson is Moonshine Beach. Here you’ll find a swim area, playground, and public boat launch. It’s the perfect place to bring your beach chair or raft and soak up some Ozark Mountain sunshine. If you don’t have a boat with you in Branson but wish to get on the water, you’ll have no problem renting everything you need from one of the area marinas. One unique way to take in the views of Table Rock Lake is parasailing. State Park Marina can set you up for some high-flying fun! While at State Park Marina also check out the Spirit of America sailing catamaran. Help the crew operate the vessel, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Sightseeing and swimming excursions are also available.

With so many fun options for the family in Branson, we hope you have enough space on your camera or phone for all the pictures you’re going to take to document the awesome time you had together. We promise the family memories you make during your visit here will last a lifetime.
