Ocracoke Lighthouse

Off NC Rte.12 on Lighthouse Rd., Ocracoke

Ocracoke is the home of the oldest operating lighthouse in NC and the second oldest operating lighthouse in the nation. Built in 1823 to mark the inlet, the lighthouse is now managed by the National Park Service. Grounds are open all year, but the lighthouse is not open for touring. No admission fee.
