Myrtle Beach has long been praised for its beach, family activities,, golf courses and cuisine. Tourists flock here from around theworld because they've heard that this is a fantastic vacation spot and a place to create lasting memories. Yet, many don’t necessarily plan to visit the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk… until they get here. Then, they realize it’s one of their favorite things of their vacation and understand why it’s one of the best boardwalks in the nation.
Built in 2010, the 1.5-mile boardwalk was constructed to withstand the impacts of age and forces of nature, so that children visiting today can return with their children and grandchildren for years to come. While strolling along the oceanfront boardwalk, visitors will have the opportunity to try restaurants offering regional fare and shop for a unique gift for themselves or a friend. Walking along the boardwalk creates a feeling of nostalgia, especially while picking at a funnel cake or licking the drips off an ice cream cone like you did as a child. It’s nice to take a break from the heat and ride the SkyWheel, taking in the view from above and relaxing in air-conditioned comfort. Being on the boardwalk is part of the quintessential beach vacation: It’s doing whatever you want with an abundance of options to choose from.
