Furnace Town

Visit 19th-century village life in the Pocomoke Forest. Maryland’s only bog-ore furnace is five miles north of Snow Hill on the banks of Nassawango Creek. The 25-acre grounds provide picnic areas, and a nature trail traverses Pocomoke Forest and passes over the Nassawango Cypress Swamp. Hiking trails and daily activities.
