Zeiders American Dream Theater

Many creative and artistic individuals dream of being on stage and showcasing their talents in a professional theater. With the recent opening of Zeiders American Dream Theater (or “The Z”), those dreams can become reality in an intimate 70-seat theater located in the Town Center of Virginia Beach. “The Z” presents a variety of new musicals, plays, and concerts by emerging artists year-round, always different and exciting. In 2016 the theater is kicking off its Summer Series with programming that will run six days a week beginning June 28. The weekly summer repertoire will include two family-friendly shows: “Love Always,” a lighthearted original two-person musical; and “Freedom Song,” a fun patriotic cabaret musical review. The summer series also includes weekly comedy improv, sketch comedy, and drag shows more suited for adult audiences.

Exciting as this is, it’s just the beginning. Zeiders is preparing to build a new theater in Town Center that will include a 300-seat theater, a 100-seat cabaret space and a recording studio. The new theater, scheduled to open in 2018, will provide even more opportunities for “creativity to meet opportunity.” To see show schedules and purchase tickets, visit AmericanDreamTheater.org.
