Open (C)all 2018 Exhibition: The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Virginia Beach SPCA invite Hampton Roads artists of all ages to participate in our upcoming Open (C)all 2018 exhibition. This year we open our call with a special theme; that of compassion.

FALL EXHIBITIONS | Sept. 22 - Dec. 30, 2018

Todd Schorr: Atomic Cocktail
Artist Todd Schorr has earned broad recognition as a master painter. The style and influences of his complex narrative painting have been attributed from a multitude of sources from Northern Renaissance to 18th and 19th century Romantic painters. Schorr combines a complex contemporary imagery with an illustrative style.

Julie Heffernan: When the Water Rises
Heffernan’s recent paintings create alternative habitats in response to environmental disaster and planetary excess. With rising waters, she imagines worlds in trees or on rafts in which undulating mattresses, tree boughs, and road signs guide the journey.
